  16   <p>Prof. Bernard Schutz (born in 1946 in the USA) is director of the Max
  17      Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute),
  18      heading the Astrophysical Relativity Division of the Institute, and
  19      Professor at Cardiff University. In acknowledgement of pioneering
  20      scientific work in gravitational physics he has been elected Fellow of
  21      the American Physical Society. He invented the ``Living Reviews'' concept
  22      in 1996 and acts as the journal's Editor-in-chief. Bernard Schutz has
  23      served on the Editorial Board of Classical and Quantum Gravity between
  24      1988 and 1990, and since 1998 is member of the Editorial Board of the
  25      monograph series Studies In High Energy Physics, Cosmology and Gravitation
  26      (Institute of Physics Publishing, Bristol, UK).</p>
