  25   <p>The precise definition of metadata and their actual
  26      Markup Model are essential aspects for implementing the
  27      main functionalities of the library, and especially for
  28      archiving, searching and retrieving issues. The work will
  29      be articulated in two main, almost sequential, tasks:</p>
  30   <tasks>
  31    <task name="T3.1">
  32     <p>Use, meaning and classification. This task, based on the
  33        previous documents D1 and D2, is aimed to provide a
  34        precise definition and classification of all metadata
  35        required for an effective and efficient management of the
  36        library.</p>

  38    <task name="T3.2">
  39     <p>Modelling. This is devoted to the definition of a precise
  40        markup model. To this aim, we plan to use the Resource
  41        Description Framework of W3C.</p>

  48   <p>The definition of the Metadata model is amain milestone,
  49      since the architectural design and implementation of the

  52      extraction of metadata).</p>
